- Handmade in Nepal, these traditional Windhorse prayer flags are made in the rustic and authentic Tibetan style.
- Prayer flags are meant to fade and fray in the wind - it is actually auspicious! This is a physical symbol and acknowledgement of your prayers and wishes being released into the world.
- Each flag is beautifully printed with a hand carved wood block using traditional methods. A large variety of prayers surround the center image of lungta, a Windhorse. Lungta is also the Tibetan word for 'prayer flag'.
A Wind Horse is symbolic of the mind and the wind is its vehicle, therefore it can be ridden upon. This means that we all have the possibility of controlling the mind and can guide it towards any direction at any speed we wish.
Tibetans believe that the prayers and mantras will be blown upwards as an offering to their deities and will bring fortune, happiness and good health to all who hang them.
